Great fun to have all the Beatles in miniature but not sure why George looks more like George Michael - guess it's difficult to create George's chiselled features when you have a cylindrical head! Congratulations to the designer and the lego team for a truly fab set - can we have John's psychedelic Rolls Royce or maybe an Abbey Road Rooftop concert set with mini instruments and Yoko next please. We use cookies and similar tools that are necessary to enable you to make purchases, to enhance your shopping experiences, and to provide our services, as detailed in our Cookie Notice. I don't think it's overpriced as there's so much love and care been taken in it's design - even the box is printed on the inside and once built this is a seriously sturdy and weighty submarine. Possibly not suited to young kids (unless they want to play with it once built) this is a great gift for the adult Beatle nut or older kids who like a challenge. It would be impossible to build this without the instructions and if deconstructed (I'm considering it!) it will be a major challenge without the convenience of having the parts pre-separated in the 5 bags as most of the lego pieces are unique to this set. There are 5 bags of a wide variety of bizarre and unique pieces, each with a Beatle per bag (and Jeremy the Nowhere Man in the 5th bag) meaning you can take your time and build it in stages to savour the experience. Having looked at the contents I couldn't resist - this is by far the most enjoyable build I've ever done with lego - admittedly the first I've done since I was a kid, but with so many parts and intricate construction it is closer to a Lego Technic set than regular lego and just awesomwe to construct. Like many people I am a Beatles anorak and bought this with half a mind to keep it pristine and in it's box as yet another collectors item. I would highly recommend this as it is a real labour of love with exceptional eye for detail.
